The agreement includes clear financial terms, whereby payment is made monthly upon submission of certificates of measurement of work by the engineer, with 10% of the monthly payments withheld and refunded later after the completion of a 6-month maintenance period. The engineer is also granted the right to suspend or reject the contractor’s work in the event of non-compliance with technical specifications, and has the right to direct additional modifications when necessary.
